About the work
Soul sovereignty is the capacity to discern, choose, and act from one’s internal authority, rather than from conditioned patterns, while remaining in ethical relationship with oneself and others. Soul Sovereignty Yoga was born from the desire to DECENTER the yoga teacher and to ELEVATE the practice, the work, the soul journey, and the historical texts of brilliant thinkers and yoga’s founders.
Key Elements of Soul Sovereignty:
Body Embodiment: Moving beyond exercise to form a deep relationship with the body, treating it as the seat of personal truth and wisdom.
Energetic Authority: Reclaiming, or taking ownership of, one's energy field, boundaries, and personal power (sovereignty).
Authentic Expression: Living and acting in alignment with your inner truth, rather than acting on external expectations.
Practice Methods: Often involves somatic, slow-paced movement like yin yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, and journaling.
The Self Sovereignty Yoga Manifesto
As it is essential, I take responsibility:
For myself
For my happiness
For my own spiritual trajectory
Committing to myself with devotion is how I fortify my energy field, reclaim my power, break down the patterns keeping me stuck, and make progress on our journey toward self-actualization, radically alive living, and soul sovereignty.
We believe…
Community begets connection, and connection is the best way to fight fear, anxiety, worry, a relationship rupture, a perceived failure, judgment or disconnection from self, and grief.
Community of likeminded individuals reminds us of the shared human experience, that we are not alone in our struggles, questions, healing, or becoming. In safe and supportive spaces, we remember our capacity for resilience, compassion, joy, and growth. We heal in relationship: to ourselves, to one another, and to the world around us. Through connection, we return home to ourselves in the now.
At Soul Sovereignty Yoga, we believe true sovereignty is not isolation. It is the ability to remain deeply connected to yourself while existing in authentic relationship with others. Through movement, reflection, breath, and community, we practice returning to our inner wisdom, honoring our lived experience, and cultivating the courage to live as our most aligned and self-led selves.
Community connections
Online Groups
Our online program communities are designed to foster meaningful connection among cohorts of likeminded individuals walking alongside one another in growth, healing, and self-discovery. These spaces offer opportunities to share reflections, celebrate progress, exchange support, and remember that transformation is often strengthened in community. Through intentional connection, participants build relationships rooted in authenticity, encouragement, and collective becoming.
In-Person Opportunities
Our in-person opportunities are designed to bring community into embodied practice through movement, conversation, presence, and shared experience. These gatherings create space for authentic connection, nervous system regulation, self-expression, and collective care within a supportive environment. Together, we cultivate community that honors both individuality and belonging — a space where people can reconnect to themselves while being witnessed and supported by others. We’re in the Boston area, so if you’re local, come be with us.
